An Idea You’ll Flip Over
Posted by David Grossman on Fri, May 04, 2012
Have something you want to get your employees’ input on? Post a question on a flip chart in your department or office, provide Post-its, and watch the ideas grow. It’s an informal focus group of sorts, where employees will periodically revisit the question and ideas, leading to great collaboration in real time (and without meeting!). Working virtually? Create an electronic message board.
With the right open-ended question (e.g., “What ideas do you have for how we can improve ?”), a ton of potential solutions will result. Chances are, you’ll get ideas you never would have thought of. Even better, employees will appreciate being a part of the process.
What do you want input on today where employees could provide an all-important point-of-view?
