Last week, I was humbled to be named the very first president of the newly redesigned Worldcom University, a learning and education center for Worldcom Public Relations Group members. For those of you who aren't familiar with Worldcom, it is the world's leading partnership of independently owned public relations counseling firms. The organization is comprised of 107 offices in 95 cities around the globe. As its president, I will be responsible for overseeing the strategy and direction of the newly redesigned university, which will offer education and learning tools to the 1,800 employees of Worldcom's partner firms.
As many of you know, I consider teaching and education one of the most important ways to advance communication best practices, improve organizations, make better leaders, and, ultimately, happier employees, so I am truly thrilled to be such an integral part of an organization that shares my values. It's a privilege to do the work that we do at The Grossman Group, and Worldcom University promises to be an incredible project. I'm grateful for the opportunity and can't wait to get started!
